angle of refraction :
The angle between a refracted ray and a line perpendicular to the surface between the two media at the point of refraction.

Being on edge...
Lack of sleep makes me edgy... gives me the feeling of a sharp blade being struck on a stone... or the need for a shot of raw burning tequila.
